2nd Grade

LaQuesha Riggins is a graduate of The University of Akron in Ohio. She has been teaching here in North Carolina since 2007 and at Y.E.S. since 2011. She is the proud mother of two daughters age 12 and 19. She has a true passion for working with our young learners!! Helping each child progress in all areas of their development—academic, social, and language is a challenge that she is honored to accept daily. I strive to create a community of learners that nurtures this growth in a positive, fun environment. She looks forward to working together with you as partners in your child’s growth and development!!

Ms. Hanson has been teaching for 19 years. Ms. Hanson started her teaching career in Vance County . She taught Kindergarten for two years. 1st grade for 9 years and 2nd grade for 9 years. She has taught in Franklin County Schools for 5 years in 2nd grade at YES. Ms. Hanson looks forward to a great year full of learning and fun.

Mrs. Smith graduated from East Carolina University in 2021 with a degree in Elementary Education. She worked for Franklin County Schools for 6 years as an Instructional Assistant. This is her third year at Youngsville Elementary School and is so excited to work in Second Grade! In her spare time she loves spending time with her husband and boys. You can usually find her near the water with a good book in hand!

Mrs. Wheeler is a graduate of East Carolina University with a B.S. Degree in Elementary Education. She is also licensed to teach Special Education. This is Mrs. Wheeler's 27th year in education.
Mrs. Wheeler has lived in Franklin county for the past 30 + years. She has two daughters and 4 grandchildren. Her hobbies include reading, cooking, photography, and spending time with family.

Mrs. Faracca loves being a teacher at Y.E.S! This is her third year teaching, and she could not be happier to be teaching 2nd grade for the first time this year. Mrs. Faracca lives in Youngsville with her husband and two dogs (Rocky and Adrian). When she is not in the classroom she enjoys reading, baking, and traveling to Disney World as often as possible! I am looking forward to an amazing year!
