3rd Grade

Ms. Fouts is a graduate of N.C. State University and completed her Elementary Education Teaching Certification through East Carolina University. She joined the Youngsville Elementary family in 2013. Ms. Fouts teaches math and science while her teammate, Ms. McCarty, teaches ELA and social studies. She has 3 adult children, 2 sons and a daughter. Her first grandchild was born in 2025. Mrs. Fouts enjoys travelling with her husband, especially, to the North Carolina mountains and beaches and visiting her granddaughter.

Mrs. McCarty is a third grade teacher who has been teaching at Youngsville Elementary for 13 years. She has also taught 1st, 2nd and 5th grades. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education K-6 from Elon University and National Board Certification in 2007 for Early Childhood Generalist. She renewed the National Board Certification in 2017. The last few years she has been teaching the ELA (English Language Arts) and Social Studies portion of the third grade curriculum, while Mrs. Fouts, her teammate, uses her expertise to teach Math and Science. They love working together. Outside of school, she is a wife and mother of 2 boys. She enjoys family time, warm weather, and spending time at Kerr Lake!

Mrs. Hawksby has been in education for 11 years now. She highly enjoys family time with her husband and her toddler son, trips to the beach and the mountains and watching sports such as football, basketball and baseball.

Ms. Brame is a graduate from East Carolina University and completed her Elementary education license through East Carolina University. She joined the Youngsville elementary school team in January of 2025. Ms. Brame teaches third grade Ela and social studies. Ms. Brame enjoys going to the lake and traveling to Florida during her free time.
