Ms. Cigna is the School Counselor at Youngsville Elementary. She loves being a part of the YES family! Ms. Cigna grew up in New Jersey before relocating to Georgia. She attended the University of Georgia where she received Bachelors degrees in Psychology and Human Development & Family Science. Ms. Cigna completed her Masters of Counseling and Educational Specialist degrees at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She is also a National Certified Counselor (NCC).

Ms. Cigna enjoys working with elementary students and supporting their academic, social-emotional, and career development. Ms. Cigna loves spending time at the beach, traveling, playing soccer, and trying new restaurants!

Mrs. Bell began working for FCS as a substitute teacher when her son was in elementary school. She currently teaches students with disabilities. Mrs. Bell lives in Franklin County with her husband and their children and grandchildren live nearby.

She was born and raised in Western NY. In 2002 she graduated from SUNY Fredonia with her Bachelor's Degree. In 2005 she graduated with her Master's Degree from Nazareth College. July 2005 was a busy month for her as she was married and then moved to North Carolina where she began her career in Granville County. She then moved to Wake County where she was a Speech Language Therapist for 14 1/2 years before venturing off and starting her own therapy office. After 5 years, she felt pulled back to the education system and joined the Youngsville Elementary Junior Jags Team.

Mrs. Timberlake retired from teaching at Youngsville Elementary with 30 years of service. She is back working parttime in the EC Department at Youngsville Elementary working with grades K-2. Teaching is her passion, and she has also taught at Franklinton Elementary, and Jones Dairy Elementary after her retirement at Youngsville Elementary. Mrs. Timberlake is married to David Timberlake and has one son, Josh. She enjoys traveling, going to Atlantic Beach, reading, and sewing.

Mrs. Julie Simmons is the ESL teacher. She is very excited to serve the multilingual learners (MLs). Mrs. Simmons is originally from Greensboro and has been in education for 19 years. She and her family have lived in Franklin County since 2020. When not teaching, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two kids, cooking, running, and watching Duke basketball. She feels blessed to be part of the FCS family!

Mrs. Zellmer taught 3rd grade in Las Vegas, Nevada for several years before moving to North Carolina to teach in Wake County. There she taught 4th and 8th grades as well as K-5 Reading Intervention. She also served as a Literacy Coach. This is Mrs. Zellmer's fourth year at Youngsville Elementary. She is originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania but now lives in Wake Forest. When she is not at school, Mrs. Zellmer loves to spend time with her husband, two daughters, and two cats. She enjoys reading, watching sports, and playing board games, card games, and word games.

Originally from Erie, Pennsylvania, Ms. Smith has spent the majority of her teaching career at Youngsville Elementary School. She taught 5th grade ELA/SS for 20 years and then moved into the Instructional Coach position in June 2020.
