Greetings YES families. I hope that you have enjoyed the weekend and some excellent fall weather.
It is Red Ribbon Spirit Week at Youngsville Elementary School! We celebrate this week to encourage our students to demonstrate kindness and make healthy choices. Each day will have its own themes and students can dress accordingly. Monday, October 27 is "My School Spirit Monday". Students are encouraged to wear school colors (gold and black) to show their Jr. Jag Spirit. See the attachment for the week's themes.
Tuesday, October 28 is Make Up Picture Day. Information was sent home with students last week. Orders can be made online.
From our School PTO:
The YES PTO will have a general meeting on Tuesday, October 28 at 6:30 pm in the school media center. Parents may attend in person or join us online. Tuesday is also Papa John's Night for YES. Enjoy dinner from Papa Johns and support our school. A portion of the proceeds goes to our school's PTO.
Our Boosterthon Youngsville Jr. Jag Dance Fit and Color Run fundraiser is coming soon! Our goal is to raise $10,000 to fund campus improvements, school programs, and books for our media center. Student "tags" will go home on Monday, October 27. The fundraiser begins on October 30 and ends on November 7 with a Dance Fit and Color Run event!
Join us for a fall clean up day on Saturday, November 8 from 8-12.
