Kindergarten Registration

Kindergarten registration for the 2026-2027 school year is available now. Children must be 5 years old on or before August 31, 2026 to enroll.

Under the “Parents” tab, select “Locate My Child’s School”
Enter your home address to verify that your assigned school is Youngsville Elementary School

To enroll a student, please follow these steps: 

1. Go to our website, https://www.fcschools.net
2. Under the “Parents” tab, 
3. Select “Enrollment & Reassignment” 
4. Select “2026-2027 next school year enrollment ” 
Note: English and Spanish translations are available online

Documents and forms required:

  • Child’s proof of age (e.g. certified birth certificate)

  • Child’s immunization records

  • Copy of deed or lease

  • Copy of recent electric bill showing consumption of electricity

  • For a student new to public school in North Carolina, the N.C. Health Assessment Transmittal Form must be completed by your health care provider and submitted to school. 

  • Custody documents, if applicable

  • Statement of Domicile form (Establishing Domicile)

Kindergarten Assessments and First DayThe first full day of school for kindergarten students will be Thursday, July 23.  After completing the enrollment process, a teacher will contact you about a date to bring your child in for assessments.  Assessments will take place July 16, 17 and 20 by appointment.  Kindergarten open House will be on July 21 from 4 - 6 pm.  All kindergarten students will report to school on Thursday, July 23 and this will be a full day.
